We invite you to LINEKIN BAY RESORT for a real Down East vacation. Secluded on the shore of beautiful Linekin Bay, it is only one mile from the attractions of Boothbay Harbor. We offer a variety of sports and activities right at hand, yet rest and relaxation in a charming and an informal atmosphere. Comfortable accommodations for 150 guests are in five lodges on the bay and 30 cottages scattered through the pine grove. The charm of Linekin lies in its natural setting. You will enjoy this to the fullest. Both our dining room and our main lounge with their large fieldstone fireplaces and expansive windows overlook the ever changing bay, the salt water pool and the main dock. In this congenial atmosphere guests may play cards, watch television, or gather around the piano to sing. Linekin appeals to the outdoor minded guests seeking change and relaxation. The facilities are to use at your will and there is no pressure of a planned program or entertainment. Besides the active sports, many enjoy walking, bird watching, painting or taking pictures. Location and surrounding view and scenery.

The room was like a summer camp rental. The bathroom has seen an update since 1960.

This resort is set up for families trying to recapture the vibe of the 60's. It's old and in need of repair. Staff are friendly and accomodating but that doesn't make up for the shortcomings. The location is convenient and scenic. The meals were adequate but definitely geared for pedestrian tastes. If you're not a regular visitor to this resort don't expect to be welcomed with open arms by those that are. I would not return to this resort especially with the number of better alternatives in the area. ...read more
